David Taylor's Biography Photographing people has been a passion of David Taylor since the early '80s. He has photographed such luminaries as President George H.W. Bush, Governor Pete Wilson, President Bill Clinton, Michael Jackson, and well-known musicians and businesspeople. To get stellar results from a personal photo session, Taylor focuses not only his camera but also his gift for sensitivity and communication, making his subjects feel at ease. He motivates people as he alleviates any stress they might feel at the portrait session. He gently persuades them that the experience will be a happy one. And it is! Taylor realized early in his career that he had the twin gifts of sensitivity and the ability to help people grow. Thus, a second passion came into his life-a passion to assist people toward understanding and feeling good about themselves every day in every way. Taylor studied the skills of platform speaking. He holds a certificate of CTM in the Toastmasters International Organization. Along with maintaining his photography business, Taylor became a motivational speaker. In his talks, Taylor weaves amusing stories of being a "have-car-lights-and-camera and will-travel" photographer, encouraging his audiences to live their lives with a more positive outlook with a focus on self-esteem, self-confidence, goal-setting, peer pressure and personal success. Taylor,
who also speaks Spanish fluently, has addressed businesspeople at Century
21, Coldwell Banker, Mary Kay Cosmetics, Prudential and Tarbell Realty.
Taylor especially enjoys speaking to tots, teens and college students.
Schools in Southern California such as Crenshaw, Pacific Palisades,
Audubon, Compton and Glendale high schools have welcomed his insight.
